Introduction to active threat / pistol (force on force)

ATC’s Introduction to Active Threat/ Pistol with Force on Force (FOF) is a foundational overview on the Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) as applied to urban areas with a central focus on Close Quarter Combat (CQB) while operating in 2 man teams in a tactical environment.

This one (1) day class consists of three progressive learning tiers of training focusing on the fundamentals of CQB culminating with Force on Force. Only FOF provides the realism that is unmatched by any other training venue.

1. Dry Repetitions/ Drills- Students will be introduced to TTPs for room clearing, movement, weapon manipulation, and situational awareness.

2. Marking Cartridges- Students will continue to refine CQB repetitions firing marking cartridges focusing on threat identification and discrimination.

3. Force on Force- Full spectrum scenario based events utilizing marking cartridges culminating all individual and team skills against an active threat(s) to include communications and after action duties and responsibilities.

Understanding basic room clearing techniques is an essential skillset when operating in an Urban Environment, not only for specialized teams, but for the basic rifleman and patrol officer as well.  Let’s face it, how much training time does your unit or department provide you with?  Is it enough to be confident as a patrol officer to clear a house or business during a burglary in progress?  These techniques are the quintessential building blocks necessary in order to eventually accomplish more advanced urban movement techniques.

This class will introduce the armed professional to several different methodologies and TTPs from numerous law enforcement and military sources tailored to the many challenges and active threats from a patrol level perspective; and will provide the student the edge they need to succeed in today’s Urban Active Threat landscape.

ATC’s Introduction to Active Threat/ Pistol offers the student the ability to build a foundation for what is effective within their desired skillset, agency policies and procedures, and particular work environment and responsibility. It is strongly encouraged if attending as a patrol officer that you take this class with your partner. as building a strong team dynamic is an critical part of ensuring a positive and successful outcome.
